Pumpkin Raita Recipe - Kaddu ka Raita Recipe

Pumpkin raita like all raitas help in digesting the food. Mix pumpkin, green chili, roasted cumin seed, asafetida and salt in the stirred curd. Your Pumpkin Raita is now ready to serve and eat along with your meals.

Ingredients for Kaddu ka Raita

  • Pumpkin – 250 gm
  • Curd – 250 gm
  • Green chili – 2 (cut finely)
  • Roasted asafetida – 1 pinch
  • Roasted cumin seed – ½ small spoon
  • Salt – less than ½ small spoon (or as per taste)

How to make Pumpkin Raita

Peel, wash and then cut the pumpkin.

Put the pumpkin along with 1 cup of water in a utensil and put the utensil on a low flame. Pumpkin will boil in 10 to 12 minutes.

Take out the water from the boiled pumpkin and let it cool. Grind the pumpkin a little either with the stirring spoon or in the grinder.

Mix pumpkin, green chili, roasted cumin seed, asafetida and salt in the stirred curd. Your Pumpkin Raita is now ready to serve and eat along with your meals.
