Tofu Recipes | Tofu Curry with Matar Recipe

You can make Tofu Pea Curry in the same manner like we make Paneer Pea Curry. But you can make paneer without frying it along with peas. Tofu's (Soy Paneer's)  taste enhances only after frying it and them it becomes suitable to make any curry recipe from it. Lets make Tofu Pea Curry.

Ingredients for Tofu Pea Curry Recipe

  •     Tofu (Soy paneer) - 250 gms.
  •     Peas - 1 cup.
  •     Tomato - 2-3
  •     Green chilli - 2
  •     Ginger - 1 inch long piece.
  •     Cream or malai - 1/2 small bowl.
  •     Oil - 3-4 table spoon.
  •     Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
  •     Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
  •     Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
  •     Red chilli powder - less than 1/4 tea spoon.
  •     Garam masala - less than 1/4 tea spoon.
  •     Salt - according to the taste.
  •     Coriander leaves - 2 table spoon (chopped)
     

Method - How to make Tofu Pea Curry

Make a paste of tomato, ginger and green chilli. Mix cream into the paste and turn on the mixer once again for one round.

Cut the tofu into square pieces and fry in a non-stick pan with little oil. Cut the tofu into 4-5 pieces and fry until they turn brown from both the sides. Take them out on a plate. Now put the peas into the oil and fry them too till they turn light brown in colour.

Tamper the cumin seeds in the remaining oil followed by adding turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder. Mix the masala well and roast for 3-4 minutes. Now add the tomato cream paste into the masala and roast it till the oil starts to float at the top of it.

Once the masala is properly coker pour water in it according to your preference. Let the curry boil and then put peas and tofu in it. Let it boil for another 3-4 minutes. Tofu Pea Curry is ready. Turn of the flame.

Mix garam masala and coriander leaves into the curry and mix well. Transfer the recipe in a serving bowl and serve with naan, parantha, chapati and rice.

You can make the curry in many different styles and get different taste with every method.

Tofu Paneer Recipe with Khas Khas Curry

Take 2 table spoon khas kkhas, wash it and soak it into the water. Grind it after one hour. Now heat oil in a pan and put cumin seeds, turmeric powder, coriander powder along with khas khas paste into it and roast well. Once the oil separates from the paste put the tomato paste and roast the masala once again. Pour water according to your preferred consistency of curry and prepare the curry.

Tofu Paneer Recipe with Cashew Nut Curry

Soak 2 table spoon cashews in water for half an hour and then grind them to make a paste.  Put the masala into the oil along with cashew paste and roast till the oil separates from the masala. Now put the tomato ginger paste into the masala and roast the masala once again. Pour water according to your preferred consistency of curry and prepare the curry.

If you like onions then put 1 chopped onion into the oil after tampering the cumin seeds and fry till it gets light pink in colour followed by the steps mentioned above.
