You can make Potato salad in many ways. In Nepal it is known as Alu achar - Nepalese Potato Salad. The difference is that in nepal people use sesame oil to make Potato salad, but we are using olive oil as it makes the food more appealing and tasty.
Ingredients for Potato Sesame Salad
Potato - 4 (medium sized)
Salt - according to the taste)
Green chilli - 2 (chopped)
Lemon - 1 tea spoon lemon juice.
Ginger - 1/2 inch long piece.
Olive Oil - 2 tea spoon.
Sesame - 2 tea spoon.
Coriander leaves - 1 table spoon (chopped)
Method - How to make Potato Sesame Salad
Wash and boil the potatoes in the cooker. Peel them and cut into 4-6 pieces each. Do not cut the potatoes immediately after boiling them. Rather let them cool down for 1 hour and then cut into pieces.
Roast the sesame in a small pan until brown.
Put olive oil, salt, green chilli, lemon juice and ginger into the potatoes and mix well. Put 1/2 table spoon coriander leaves in the salad and mix it well too.
Potato Sesame Salad is ready. Put the salad in a serving plate and garnish with coriander leaves. You can also eat it salad as a evening snack.
