How to make chocolate nan khatai
Take less than ½ cup of wheat flour in a bowl, add ½ cup of chickpea flour, 2 tablespoons of semolina, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder in it. Mix them into it until lumps dissolve.
Add a ⅔rd cup of powdered sugar, less than ½ cup of clarified butter, and mix them properly. Add 3 tablespoons of milk for the dough, 2 tablespoons of almonds flakes and mix them properly.
Preheat 300-400 grams of salt in a cooker for the baking process for 7-8 minutes on the high flame. Grease the plate with ghee and roll a dough lump to give it the shape of nan khatai.
Place them on the distance and garnish nan khatai using almonds flakes. After 10 minutes, place a stand on the pressure cooker and put the plate over it. Close the lid of pressure cooker without the whistle then, turn the flame to medium-high and bake them for the 12 minutes.
Check the cookies after 12 minutes and remove the plate from the cooker. Keep the baked cookies aside and wait until they cool down. Remove them from the plate once they cool down and serve. You can store it in an airtight container and consume for 1-2 months.
You can also use butter instead of ghee.
You can add any chopped dry fruit according to your taste after chopping such as walnut or cashew.
Sometimes the time variations depend on the flame so baking time might increase or decrease and it may take 13-14 minutes to bake.
